Camera or intercom preparation
The intercom systems must be connected by an electrician. Please contact your trusted electrician for planning, fitting and installation.
Water protection
To achieve optimum water protection for your mail, the letterbox or letterbox system should be located under a canopy if possible.
The mail is only protected from water if it is fully inserted in the box and the flap is closed. Mail that is not fully inserted allows moisture and dirt to penetrate the letterbox. It is therefore necessary to plan sufficiently dimensioned letterboxes for the upcoming requirements. Under certain extreme weather conditions, water can still enter (up to 1ccm according to DIN EN 13724). This is not a reason for complaint.

The Comelit complete kit in detail
The (video) intercom system kits from COMELIT are simply connected using 2‑wire technology. This allows existing cabling to be used and avoids additional costs for new wiring and for plastering or decorating work. From the new power supply unit in the meter cupboard simply run 2 wires to the flush‑mounted speaker or to the video speaker in the functional enclosure of the mailbox unit, and 2 wires from the power supply unit to the apartment station in the flat or to the gateway in the distribution cabinet. Done. For the Wi‑Fi function of the apartment station LS8741, a Wi‑Fi network within range is required. The 1406A gateway is connected to the internet via an Ethernet port.
